When I arrived here from Chicago over 20 years ago, the first stop I made was the Phoenix Art Museum. I had spent my entire life up till that point studying the Art Institute of Chicago and I was eager to see what Phoenix had to offer. Present day, I get to photograph the new director, Jeremy Mikolajczak for Phoenix Art Museum in this month’s ImagesAZ editorial issue. What an honor to get to work within the museum with all my gear photographing in such a remarkable space among so many great pieces of art. Jeremy Mikolajczak will be a leading force in defining one of Arizona’s main hubs of Art. I’m excited to see how Phoenix Art Museum will grow over the upcoming years.
