When I woke up one morning last week in the mountains of Arizona, I had no idea that it was going to be a day that I made portrait that I was going to truly fall in love with. Of course, I hope everyday is that. But, I’m usually striving to capture an image that fits into my client’s vision. However, when it comes to my personal work, the time when I’m not thinking about anyone else but what I have in mind, then I’m in my own head alone. Except the only one around to help with my gear is my husband and he’s never happy about that. Lol. But, I was able to grab him to help me with this shot of our boys and when I first saw that I hit the lighting right, I couldn’t contain my excitement! The thrill runs through my bones and all is right with the world. I ended up taking more shots with my daughter as well, but this was one of the firsts, when the boys are giving me something of themselves before they are bored with me. When all the elements come together and I get something striking that is my vision and beyond because now, my children are participating in the creation of the Art. What more could a Mom ask for?
