Robin called me eager to get a family portrait session in before her kids took off around the world. Her daughter Jade, is moving to New York to work for Amazon (congrats Jade!) and her son Grant, just graduated from ASU with his Masters degree and is set to travel Europe. So Robin wasn’t sure when her family would all be together again. With that said, she wanted to make sure she had some nice portraits to hold onto till they are all in one place again!
We were in a pinch to get these portraits done before they headed out of town and with the way things go sometimes, we did our shoot on the morning of Mother’s Day. However, I knew we wouldn’t need much time to photograph this beautiful family in their gorgeous and green neighborhood in Scottsdale. I focused on finding the right light and getting the greenery that Robin really wanted. We also made sure to get Grace and Grant to celebrate their college graduations from Arizona State University and University of Arizona. Congratulations to all of them, parents and kids on all their successes. I know Robin will be holding these portraits close to her heart as her kids leave the nest.
