Every family has a story that is worth documenting. A lot of my shoots are extended families coming into town together and it’s an opportunity to capture them all together. So those shoots are primarily about capturing connections as well as documenting. But once in awhile during the shoot I can grab that incredible shot that shows connection as well as a story about their family. This first shot is just that one! The older cousins having a moment with their younger cousins reading to them. I never take my eyes off of what is happening around me during a shoot because it’s moments like this that are the special ones to capture!
